Home Blog Beauty: No TRICKS, just TREATS. 5 Easy tricks for removing Halloween makeup

What do you do when soap and water just isn’t enough to remove all that Halloween makeup!?

maxresdefault-1 Here are 5 easy tricks to take it all off

  1. Baby Oil    Resist scrubbing off waterproof mascara, eyeliner and eye-shadows. Rubbing can irritate and damage the gentle skin on your eyes. Instead, soak a cotton pad with baby oil and place it on your eyelids for 30 seconds each then wipe off all the makeup.
  2. Apple Cider Vinegar     Take off any body paints and glitter by taking a bath rather than scrubbing yourself red in the shower. Just add a few capfuls of apple cider vinegar to your tub and soak for 5-10mins, then rinse off. Apple Cider Vinegar has antibacterial properties and Alpha hydroxy Acids, so you’re getting a great cleanse and exfoliation at the same time.
  3. Gentle Cleanser     Use a pH-balanced face cleanser that’s safe for all skin types. Our favorite is the Foaming Cream Cleanser for only $25, available at any Grace Threading locations. Just wet your skin with warm water and gently rub in circles to remove makeup.
  4. Coconut Oil     Re-hydrate and treat your skin and hair with Coconut Oil. Apply Coconut Oil on your hair starting from mid strands to the ends and leave on for 5mins, then shampoo and rinse off for silky smooth hair. Use it on your skin to get rid of excess or stubborn makeup, rinse off and use your facial cleanser as usual.
  5. Treat yourself.     Finally, after all that makeup removing and dressing up is over and done with, make yourself a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and unwind and relax with Netflix or your favorite movie.
