THE SECRET TO SMOOTH SKIN
Some people have probably been shaving since before they had a reason to. Shaving unwanted hair can give you an instant result, but only for a few hours. The hair roots remain under the skin and in a day, or in some cases hours, the hair begins to come out again. When you wax over time the hair growth reduces. This is because the hair follicles in the area gets damaged, so the hair that comes out is less and comparatively thinner because it’s roots are weakened. Staying consistent with your waxing (without shaving in between) will help you achieve the best results.
WE TAKE PRIDE IN OUR WORK
EVERY Esthetician at GraceThreading goes through an intensive training to learn the authentic Brazilian wax technique. We wear gloves and do not double dip while providing Brazilians.
We use two types of Wax – Soft wax & Hard wax . The wax we use is high quality and is made in France.
Our exclusive creamy Soft Wax is made of natural ingredients. It’s made for sensitive skin and is fragrance free. Our Soft wax is very gentle is generally used on the bigger areas of the body like legs, back, arms and stomach. It is also used on the flat top area for the bikini/brazilian service where uneven and stubborn hairs usually are. This type of wax requires a strip to remove.
Strip-less, or “hard wax” is a type of wax that, when applied, hardens on its own. In this case the wax becomes the strip itself so no need for any tape or cotton strip. Its a 100% natural and is used for underarms , Brazilian and nose wax.
It sounds painful but it doesn’t hurt. Nostril waxing only removes the outer hairs from the nose, not the important finer hairs from deep inside the nose. The aim of nostril waxing is to remove simply those ugly thick nostril hairs that look horrible and sometimes hang out of the nose.
Many say they can breathe better after nose waxing. Its a great, quick hair removal treatment that men get mostly.
The Do’s and Dont’s for Getting a Brazilian
Hair must be 1/2 inches long in order to achieve a good waxing experience
Do take an ibuprofen 30 minutes before your wax if you are sensitive or have a low pain tolerance. Specially when you are getting Brazilian done.
Do avoid sex or friction for 24 hours after your appointment. If this is not an option, using a lubricant can help create a barrier and extra sensitivity is made more comfortable.
Do schedule your appointments every 4-6 weeks. Hair grows in multiple cycles and staying in this time frame will give best results with less pain.
Don’t apply any creams, lotions, etc to the area being waxed the day of your appointment.
Don’t sunbathe or tan for 24 hours before or after your appointment.
Don’t pick at ingrown hairs. The best solution is prevention. Use a buffing cloth or exfoliating glove in small circular motions while in the shower daily. If ingrown hairs are a problem, we suggest purchasing PFB which is a roll on salicylic based gel.
Don’t shave between appointments. Shaving will mess up appointment timing allowing the root to grow strong and makes waxing more painful.
